Adobe Journey Optimizer users can seamlessly integrate their report suites from Adobe Analytics into Adobe Experience Platform and Customer Journey Analytics using the Analytics source connector. Here’s how to get started:
Important Note: Ensure you have the Select package to analyze data across multiple report suites. Contact your administrator for package verification if needed.
Preparation: Before integrating Adobe Analytics report suites into Adobe Experience Platform and Customer Journey Analytics, it’s essential to prepare your data for a smooth transition. For detailed guidelines, visit the Adobe Analytics to Customer Journey Analytics evolution page.
Setting Up Report Suites: To begin, configure your report suites for ingestion into Adobe Experience Platform and Customer Journey Analytics:
- Create Dataflows: Use the Analytics source connector to establish a dataflow for each report suite intended for Adobe Experience Platform. This connector facilitates the connection between Adobe Analytics and Experience Platform, converting the schema to XDM format suitable for integration with Customer Journey Analytics.
- Dataflow Management: Each configured report suite dataflow creates a separate dataset within Adobe Experience Platform Data Lake. It automatically includes historical data spanning 13 months, with ongoing data updates. Note the limitations in non-production sandboxes starting April 26, 2023.
- Schema Handling: The Analytics source connector generates a standardized schema tailored for Adobe Analytics data. Use Adobe Experience Platform Data Prep tools to refine this schema before storing it in Data Lake, ensuring compatibility with Customer Journey Analytics requirements.
- Data Transformation: Employ Data Prep to merge data from multiple report suites within Customer Journey Analytics. This tool assists in resolving discrepancies in prop and eVar mappings across different schemas.
- Stitching Integration: Enable Stitching capabilities as needed to unify disparate ID namespaces into a cohesive view of customer interactions across devices and channels. Refer to the Stitching overview for detailed instructions.
- Creating Connections and Data Views: Once datasets are available in Adobe Experience Platform Data Lake, establish one or more Customer Journey Analytics connections. These connections enable the integration of report suite data with other datasets, facilitating comprehensive cross-channel insights.
- Customizing Data Views: Configure Customer Journey Analytics data views to customize how data from connections is presented within Analysis Workspace. These views offer robust options for tailoring data interpretation to meet specific analytical needs.
By following these steps, Adobe Journey Optimizer users can effectively integrate Adobe Analytics report suites into Adobe Experience Platform and Customer Journey Analytics, unlocking enhanced capabilities for comprehensive customer journey analysis and optimization.
